Schønning and Sejr
Unique versions of classical works
Sten Sejr is a singer, performer, and a composer. As a fan of Klaus Schønning and his music, Sten reached out to Klaus after one of his church concerts and asked, if he were interested in a collaboration, where Sten would add vocals to Klaus’ music. With a professional background as a classical trained vocalist he has performed as a solo artist at church concerts as well as a choir singer with the Danish National Radio and the Royal Opera.
Schønning & Sejr is a musical experience with beautiful harmonious and lyrical compositions by Klaus Schønning and added vocals by Sten Sejr. The collaboration is a tribute to selected masterpieces of some of the great classical composers.
You will experience timeless music in new arrangements. “We love and respect the original arrangements but have added our touch of a modern interpretation with ideas and sounds from contemporary music and styles.”
The aim is to give the classical inspired listeners a surprising and new experience, whilst introducing other listeners to the old masters of classical music.

Classic Constellations (2018)
Klaus Schønning & Sten Sejr
On this release we have chosen to pay tribute to selected masterpieces by some of the great classical composers. We could have chosen many other amazing compositions, but the pieces of music by Bach, Bizet and Schubert were previously published in Klaus Schønning’s instrumental events and songs with Franck, Carl Nielsen and Tchaikovsky music are often on the program when Sten Sejr has sung solo concerts.
The listener of “Classic Constellations” will experience timeless music in new events, including two of the most famous church celebrations, two poetic and romantic songs, an opera arie and two famous classic masterpieces added words of Shakespeare and Tennyson.
We love and respect the original instrumental events, but have added our modern interpretation of ideas and sounds of contemporary music and styles. It is our goal to give classically-inspired listeners a surprising and new experience and introduce other listeners to the old masters of classical music.
